I’m an experienced Gestalt therapist, having worked with clients in various settings for a decade now. Through my long-standing private practice, writing, teaching and personal therapy I’ve come to find a way of consistently cultivating curiosity, tender honesty and sustaining insights. I think relationally and contextually and I’m inviting and am available for open, non-defended conversations.
Outside of clinical practice, I write and edit and am Deputy Editor of British Gestalt Journal. I also guest teach GSRD (Gender, Sexuality, Relationship Diversity) and Gestalt Therapy Theory at the Gestalt Centre, London.
I see supervision as the skill and art of facilitating a collegial relationship in which you feel held in, safe, sensitively challenged and inspired. I’m currently undertaking additional training in Intersectional Supervision; developing a framework for intersectional Gestalt supervision. As a trans and queer, first generation immigrant I understand the necessity of intersectional thinking. I'm attuned to how the systems we live under impact us, and pay close attention to the inherent power imbalance in supervision. I have a conversational style that is unlike the harmful archetype of a detached, ‘neutral clinician’ and I make use of immediacy and sensitive self-disclosure to elicit insights, reduce shame and deepen intimacy.
An initial supervision session costs £60 and there is no obligation to continue. Each session is fifty minutes long. These are held on a fortnightly basis usually at a consistent date and time we agree on.
On-going sessions are £70 for trainee therapists and £80 for qualified practitioners. I'm available for both principal and secondary supervision.
Gestalt therapy being an inherently integrative therapy, I welcome you to contact me even if you’ve trained in another approach. Pre-qualification – I prefer to work with Gestalt trainees (BACP) as training requirements often mean I’m unable to work with those from other approaches. However, if you’re qualified (BACP, UKCP, NCPS) in any of the other humanistic traditions (person-centred, integrative, existential, transactional analysis and psychosynthesis) and wish to engage with an intersectional, relational, embodied and creative approach to supervision, you’re most welcome to get in touch. I love supporting therapists in becoming more rounded, more grounded and confident in their own style.
